Our third annual health clinic was held at Shoreview North Oaks Animal Hospital on Sunday February 28, 2009. Auscultations were performed by Dr. Anthony Tobias, BVSc PhD Dip ACVIM. Fifty-one Cavaliers had heart checks done this year.
Dr. Robert Larocca, DVM, DACVO did our CERF eye exams checking thirty-nine sets of eyes.
AKC CAR microchips were implanted in ten Cavaliers by club member, Dr. Paul Draheim, DVM.
Our thanks to Paul and his wife, Cindy, for once again hosting our clinic at their office. We had a fantastic response in spite of weather, numerous sniffles, and the unexpected devouring of the helpers' desserts by one opportunistic Cavalier!
Our fourth annual heart and eye clinic was held February 27, 2010 at Shoreview North Oaks Animal Hospital.
Club members and non-club members alike, from the Twin Cities, out-state Minnesota and Wisconsin, took advantage of the opportunity to have their Cavaliers tested .
Dr. Christopher D. Stauthammer, DVM, DACVIM ( Uof M Cardiology Dept.) checked the hearts of 77 Cavaliers.
Dr. Jim Schoster, DVM, DACVO ( Animal Eye Consultants of MN) examined 25 sets of eyes, and Paul Draheim, DVM (Shoreview No. Oaks Animal Hospital) inserted 2 microchips.

State Fair Meet the Breed Day
Club member Kris Hassig met with the public at the Minnesota State Fair Meet the Breed Day on August 29th and 31st, 2009. It proved to be a popular and busy site as Kris handed out hundreds of pieces of information and fielded a wide-ranging array of questions.
AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day

The TCCKCSC participated in the AKC's Responsible Dog Ownership Day on a beautiful, sunny day at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Lake Elmo. Our club was well represented by members Kris Hassig, Robin and Ally Kowalski, Rachel Stanton and Sharon Wanous. By all reports, it was a fun day with great weather and an interested public.
On August 22, the Twin Cities Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club held our first Sanctioned “A” match in conjunction with the St. Croix Valley Kennel Club Cluster. The Judge, Barbara Bedsted (Kesar Yorkshire Terriers) chose Dave Eckardt’s Canterbury Quiet Riot as Best in Match.
